Gemaco’s Asphalt Shingle Recycling Station

Gemaco’s primary operation is the Recycle Asphalt Shingle (RAS) Station on Annacis Island in Vancouver. At this facility residential asphalt shingles, either roof tear-off shingles (TOS) or manufacturer remnants are delivered, ground to specification using the Rotochopper RGI Shingle Grinder, and sold as an additive in asphalt paving mixtures, or as fuel for kilns. Gemaco also provides contract shingle grinding services to other collection sites.
