Easy & Quick Installation
The Damage Alert System is quickly and easily installed by using a magnetic clamping mechanism. One transducer is typically placed on the mill bearing housing and the other on the outside side wall of the anvil. The control box may be attached to your grinder using bolts or four permanent magnets, in any convenient and accessible location. All mounting hardware, cabling, and connectors necessary for normal installation are provided. The manufacturer, Omega Piezo will work with you to engineer custom installations and system designs.

Minimal Effort Operation

After the unit has been installed, the sensitivity of the Damage Alert System is manually adjusted using red and green LED indicators. As debris is moved through the machine, the sensitivity level is fine-tuned to detect damaging debris of a predetermined size. The system is then set to the " ARM " mode for continuous operation and protection. Once armed, any pulses that are intense enough to illuminate the red display section, however briefly, will trip a system relay. This will instantly power down the grinder, reverse the in-feed or activate any other function that the grinder has available when the system trips.
